The COMMOM 2015 Fall Conference & Expo held in Fort Lauderdale, FL October 5-7 promised to be a rewarding event for us, and it lived up to all expectations.

The Expo was billed as a meeting and exposition with an emphasis on education and networking for the IBM i and AIX community, yet it delivered much more. Of paramount importance was the issue of uniting the IBM power systems community — in this case the i5OS, AIX, and Power Linux workloads — onto the cloud for greater efficiencies and cost-effectiveness. This is where we emphasized our unique role in working to help companies to capitalize on cloud computing and storage. Chuck Paolillo, CTO of SIAS, and Thomas Kempster, Managing Member, were present to share their in-depth knowledge and to demonstrate the significant advantages of migrating your infrastructure to the cloud.

SIAS played a pivotal role at the daily exposition, and for good reason. As a leader in working with enterprises to take full advantage of the cloud, we were able to help generate spirited camaraderie among show participants, while providing a clear understanding of the cloud as a new and vital storage resource.

At show attendees explored the latest advances in the IBM i and AIX world, they interacted with one another, sharing their respective observations and expertise. In fact, SIAS was instrumental throughout the daily COMMON 2015 Expo, not only providing an in-depth understanding of everything the cloud has to offer — including the numerous benefits for this platform-specific group of users — but in fostering interactions among present and prospective partners.

By the end of the event, many visitors who spent time at the SIAS exhibit came away with a fuller understanding of our cloud hosting services. Numerous attendees indicated serious interest in pursuing a relationship with us to help them to migrate their own infrastructure to the cloud in the days ahead.

As always, we’re grateful to all who contributed to making COMMON 2015 Expo a resounding success for us!
